Each Beanstalk egg is made from a degradable plastic shell, which when soaked in water, will allow the bean inside to break out, and start to grow into a beanstalk.

The bean inside the egg, has a message inscribed onto it with a laser, so when the beanstalk grows the message can be read, eventually the message will fall off, but if cared for properly the beanstalk will continue to grow.

Each egg comes package in a clear plastic tube with a ring pull lid and the growing instructions printed onto it.
